Peter tells the readers to patiently wait in peace for the return of the Lord, taking special care to live a life that would be pleasing to God.

He then references Paul's letters and how difficult they can be to understand. Because of this, many people will distort them and teach erroneously. We should be careful to not lose our own "stability", but instead grow through the grace and knowledge of Jesus.
