Are you who the person you are looking for is looking for?
OR

Are you becoming the person you are looking for?

Myth: Sex - It's only physical.
Truth: Sex- It's not just physical.
• It's way bigger, deeper, & fragile.

Probing questions:
If sex is only physical:
• why is there so much scarring from a sexually abused person?
• why is rape so much more devastating than just being assaulted?
• why is it men who have deep sexual addictions have missing father in their life?
• why do people say their greatest regret in life is sexual?

We toss our sexuality around just like a worthless object.
Intimacy: to know and be fully known

1 Corinthians 6:18 - Flee from sexual immorality. ALL OTHER SINS people commit are outside the body, but those who sin sexually sin against their own bodies.
• sexual sin is in a category all of its own.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 .....honor God with your bodies.

Myths:
1. It's all about preference.
• Truth: Sex is not just a matter of personal preference.
• Sex is a matter of Divine design.
2. Practice makes perfect.
• Truth: Romance in marriage is fueled by a sense of exclusivity.

2 things to do to put sex back where it belongs.
1. Determine the story you want to tell.
- if needed renew your mind & change your ways to start honoring God with your body.
2. Decide ahead of time what honoring God with your body looks like.
- need a body budget
3. Giving up something now for something better later is not a sacrifice. It is an investment.
