Rebekah

God's role in her life?
It's hard to tell from this short passage, but it is obvious that Rebekah was controlled by the Spirit (at least being compelled to be the first one to water his camels), generous, hard-working, and hospitable.

Her response?
Rebekah was willing to extend hospitality to Eliezer and then eager to join Isaac in marriage, even though Eliezer, Abraham, and Isaac were "strangers" to her.

Did this lead to the rich and satisfying life Jesus promised?
Absolutely!  Rebekah married Isaac and gave birth to twin boys.  By entering this family and giving birth to Jacob, she entered the lineage of King David and ultimately Jesus, the King of Kings.  Rebekah didn't question or hesitate.  Her obedience was blessed!

How does this apply to me today?
How often do I hesitate... to serve, to go, to give?  How often do I question the prompting of the Holy Spirit instead of going forward in complete, enthusiastic obedience?  It isn't enough to study and pray if I only worship and serve on my own terms.
May I empty myself of all my pride, my willfulness, and doubt to FULLY serve and worship my God.

What is one thing I can change based on what I've learned?
Slow down and listen to the Spirit's prompting but be quick to obey.  Even more practically, I can offer friendly help and service to others, even when I don't want to.
