Benaiah the son of Jehoiada is one bad dude.
One of David's mighty men, he is tasked with doing David's dirty work and in just this chapter alone, he kills Adonijah, Joab and Shimei. Yet he's not a murderer, but a dispatcher and enforcer of justice. He knew these guys. He worked with some of them. And yet he killed them, all three in one chapter!
Justice is not always easy. But Lord, please help me to be consistent in my support of your justice and less concerned for my comfort.
