know your enemy!
“Where have you come from?” the Lord asked Satan. Satan answered the Lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.” Job 2:2 NLT
It’s crazy to think that Satan has some kind of permission and access to speaking to God according this scripture. It also seems as if he studies us to find out just how he can deceive attack and bring us down. This verse also implies that he is limited to one place at one time which means he is not omnipresent therefore exposing his limitations.
Sometimes I forget how Satan has been around and observing all that has happened in the world. If he has been patrolling and watching since creation it’s no wonder he is so good at deceiving me. Thinking about this reminds me even more of how important it is to start and end each day putting God at the center of my life. If I don't I am doomed to be deceived and struggle.
God thank you so much for being the most amazing God. Help me to not forget that you are in control and have power over my enemy who wants nothing more than to figure out my weaknesses and destroy me.
