"Oh, you think you are better then everyone else!"
I've heard this several times before. It is usually when new friends ask me a question about my beliefs on any level of moral or spiritual questions. And it's a question I take seriously because as soon as my beliefs start to create pride and a feeling that I am better then some one else - that is when I'm in sin and not representing the love of Jesus.
This verse sums up the reality of that question. We aren't better as followers of Jesus then those who don't believe or follow him. In fact, for me, it is a humbling recognition of how depraved I really and that leads me to the grace and love of Jesus.
