Faith Runs on Love
Real faith always finds expression in love. As someone said: "Cars run on gas. Faith runs on love." Faith without love is utterly dysfunctional. It's a Ferrari without gas; it may look superficially impressive, but it's actually useless and won't get you anywhere. So having great faith requires great love, but we cannot drum up divine love! Instead, that perfect and comprehensive love was breathed into our hearts by God the moment we believed on Jesus (Romans 5:5). All the love the believer will ever need is within us now in the Holy Spirit. When we believe in his goodness and love— the greatness of what he had already done —our faith expands to apprehend it and see it evidenced everyday.
