Scriptures:
Proverbs 11:4 - Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
Proverbs 11:30- The Fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
Observation: It matters not how much you attain in this life for none of us can take it with us. Naked we came into this world and naked we go out. You brought nothing in and you will take nothing out. ALL you have to show for this life is what you have stored up in your heavenly bank accounts and this is determined by what you did for God in seeing His kingdom established on the earth. We must remember to be about our heavenly Father's business of winning souls to the journey of discipleship for preparation for eternal life in heaven.
Application: Jesus said you can't even give a glass to a little one of His without receiving a reward. Every-time you walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit you are receiving a reward, every time you help some discover Christ you are building up a rewards in heaven, every time you open your home and invite in a stranger, feed those who are hungry, visit those in prison or are sick, clothe those who are naked. All this spirit led work in conjunction with the Father is building a reward for you in heaven. You cannot take anything with you from this life but you can invest in your future from this life! It's your choice, build for now, or build for later!
Prayer: Father help me to think and build for the long term. Give me a wise heart that will always be investing in your eternal wealth plan set up for me ready for heaven and then give me the wisdom to inspire our people to invest well with their time here on earth!
