The Measure Of A Man
Boaz may have been attracted to Naomi; for sure he knew the right thing to do: to take care of Naomi. But I see his integrity shining in the way Boaz got the elders together. It reminds of how Jesus spoke in John chapter 3 about doing what we do in the light. This says to those watching (and they ARE watching!) that everything has been done "in the sight of God." This denotes a confidence that God is please with my actions.
And that's the kind of man I want to be.
