I'm "All In" With Jesus
In Texas Hold'em Poker when a player reaches a point they are willing to risk it all because of their confidence over their opponent, they go "All In".
Here is why I am "All In" with Jesus:
All of Colossians 2 speaks to the fact that our connection with the Father and our freedom from sin is in Christ death on the cross followed by His Resurrection from the dead.
It is Jesus who cuts away the old sinful nature and gives us, through a "new birth" (John 3), His nature. This is accomplished according to Paul in verse 6, when we accepted Christ Jesus as lord and followed Him.
There is no other religious exercise, rules or regulation necessary for being adopted into God's family.
Once you have His nature it cannot be changed any more than the nature or race you were born into, (sorry Michael Jackson).
You are what you are because you were born that way. Spiritually you were born a sinner, dead in your sins. But when you accepted Christ you were "reborn", not physically from your mother's womb but spiritually from the womb of the tomb of Christ!
There is no Jewish festival to observe, no food or drink to partake or forsake, or any other religious action necessary.
This is why I am "All In" with Jesus. My eternal life in the presence of Almighty God is attained by all Jesus Christ did for me, nothing else!
