Eating up the word, but never spitting it out
All too often, we hesitate to spread God's word. Yet we will NEVER hesitate to engorge in it. I am victim of this myself: I will gladly read the word, and maybe talk to other believers about it. Rarely do I go out and talk about God with people who I can tell are going to just reject God and belittle me in the process.
We are called to be belittled though! All over the place throughout the bible, we are called to make disciples and we are called to preach the word of God to those who need it most: the people rejecting God.
To us, God's word is sweet, refreshing, and filling. It fills us, and we can never get enough, always hungering for more. Until we go out to talk to people. All of a sudden, we have nothing to share with anyone. God gives us his words to tell people all of the time. To us, they taste amazing, like honey. Just like in Ezekiel and Revelation 10. Yet, it becomes sour when we are supposed to regurgitate them... it makes our stomachs upset, we get "butterflies" in our stomach, and we just wimp out.
STOP IT! Stop being weak. Be strong in your faith, and show how strong you are by getting out there, and talking to people about God! Do His work, and then watch what happens in your life.
