The city wants Jesus gone
They lost their herd of sheep. As far as they were concerned, they lost during this event. Those demons probably did not impact their lives much and had little contacts with those demon possessed people. Those sheep however represented their livelihood.
How would I react if I lost my livelihood for the sake of someone's health or salvation? Unfortunately probably the same way.
Lord forgive me for not seeing things with Your eyes but instead rely on my own work to survive when You clearly tell us that you will take care of all our needs. Please help me trust You more and be more in tune with Your Plan.
