Another one bits the dust. A man once able to stand in front of a crowd of cameras with the command of respect, his voice strong and confident, now reduced to a whimper of influence, loss of credibility, his stature bent over and humbled by sin. For she has cast down many wounded; indeed, all her slain are a mighty host. - Solomon Men, we do not wrestle with flesh, we wrestle with spirits. The attraction of adultery is a spiritual force, that’s why it is such as stronghold. When a man is wrestling with it, he is being enticed by and literally attracted to evil spirits. He wants to commune, have sexual intercourse with evil spirits. When King David committed adultery, he opened the gate of destruction, four of his children’s lives were destroyed because of his affair. His kingdom was divided. His reputation was lost. He is forever marked by the great sin of murder. To guard your wife, your children, your business, your reputation, your health, and your life, you must have a strategy to win against this evil foe. 1. Have a daily communion with God’s Word. Begin each day in Proverbs, the wisdom of God is revealed for practical living. The warnings of adultery are numerous in Proverbs because the advise is man to man. 2. Have daily communion with your wife. Each day, embrace her, kiss her, look into her eyes with integrity. I know this may sound simple but it works. 3. Have open communication. With today’s technology, you can have an on going dialogue as you go through the day. Don’t be shady on where you are and what you are doing. No secrets. 4. Do not have inappropriate conversation with another woman. Speak with another woman only on the level that you would if your wife was standing beside you. 5. Guard your eyes. Do not gaze upon women. 6. Date your wife. Make her your lover. 7. Be a man of integrity. Any man can have adultery, any man! Be a man that lives his life faithful.
