Reality of Faith

4 Nor to give importance to or occupy themselves with legends (fables, myths) and endless genealogies, which foster and promote useless speculations and questionings rather than acceptance in faith of God’s administration and the divine training that is in faith (in that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence)--

The phrase 'divine training' , is the thing that we should really be giving our lives to.

That last phrase is the one that speaks to my heart today and challenges the calibre of life that I am leading. Does that phrase describe my life.

Later in the same chapter we have the phrase "Holding fast to faith " in verse 19 which again in the amplified bible is rendered " (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence)" as in verse 4 above.
