S- Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
O- Christ was truly tempted, which means he was able to fall. He could have chosen to sin, not only in the desert, but any time. When he was tempted, it was suffering.
A- Sometimes I forget that the pain I experience when I am tempted is normal. It's not more than anyone else feels, but I am so self-focused that it seems like no one must feel it in quite the way I do. But Jesus himself suffered under the temptation. His strength is enough for me to resist the press of desire/weakness. He can help me get through because he has been there.
P- Lord, please help me to resist temptation, to flee from it so I don't get trapped in a place I don't want to be.
