Who hurts us the most?
Judas was the one that betrayed Jesus as we all know. The Pharisees needed someone close to Jesus to be able to let them know details of where and when Jesus would be. That is what made the betrayal that much worse was because it was done out of such greed and deception. If it wasn't for Judas then the Crucifixion wouldn't have happened. Not saying that Christ wouldn't have paid for our sins, but Judas was the agent used.
In our lives, we are hurt the most by the people closest to us. They are have intimate knowledge of who we are. This in turn gives them power over us. This is why it hurts so much. This is how we hurt others as well.
Now Judas' role was executed for a reason, but there was a reason he did what he did. Some past hurt? Trust issues? Not completely sold out for Christ? Whatever the reason was, God took the bad and gave us the greatest gift: salvation!
Don't be like Judas in your relationships and attack where you know it will hurt. Love each other.
