The son of perdition

Christ knew the cost of what it would take to bring salvation to the world. Judas was one of those costs. While it hurt Jesus that one of His own betrayed Him, He knew that it needed to be done. He did not waste more energy on trying to restore Judas. He knew the decision that Judas made. That was free will exercised. We spend too much time trying to restore those who have made their decision to hurt our relationship, church, organization. We must take a cue from Christ and lift them up to God, but not "waste" more time when there are others that need our attention more.
