Praise Break
We take coffee breaks, lunch breaks, and some take smoking breaks. We take the break because we prioritize these activities are what is associated with the activities. How often during the day do we take a "praise break"?
Nehemiah 12:43 says, "they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away". The children of Israel dedicated the wall to God and celebrated what He had allowed them to accomplish. They understood that God was the one who gave them the strength, resources, and direction to complete the wall. As a result, they took some time to give him praise. He was the cause of their rejoicing.
Choose today to rejoice because God is the source of your joy. Take a "praise break" to celebrate the God who strengthens, provides, keeps, protects, and loves.
