Losing friends

I may have recently lost a friend by noting that his sudden engagement to a virtual stranger was cause to make the the engagement a long one and to get feedback from friends. He got married the next week. We humans do this: we hate the truth because it interferes with want we want.

In this chapter of Jeremiah, the people were not content to reject the truth, they even wanted to kill the prophet.
