The Perfect Model

To model is to present the appearance and substance of another. When we model, we are not presenting ourselves. We are standing before others to represent a standard set for us by someone we serve.

Verse 11 is direct and simple: model the good and do God's work. It offends my human pride to get up each morning and realize I am not here to "model" my ideas or designs. God placed me here to model Him to the world. Jesus was the perfect model.

Prayer: Father, forgive my pride. Help me see that you designed me uniquely to model you to the world. Send your Holy Spirit to help me follow Jesus as the perfect model.
