Stop the Slander

So many relational issues in life would be solved if people would practice this, silence those who slander their neighbors. If we would refuse to listen to gossip and slander, if we would proactively silence people who do so, just say to them, "I don't think you need to be saying that" we could head off a lot of problems. The problem is that too many people are not bold enough to do that or are afraid of the consequences if they do. They might get a friend mad at them. The friend might start talking badly about them. Or maybe it's just that we like to hear gossip, ourselves.
