The workings of the spirit-man & human soul

Seeing & hearing has two aspects: The physical, biological realm & the cognitive realm of intellect & imagination.

Our physical senses of sense & sight send signals in the form of electrical pulses to our brain for images to framed within the brain through its different working faculties in the neural links of circuits.

If one has truly listened & heard someone, he catches the meanings & is able to see what communicator sees from the communicator's view point or mindset & is able to interpret the audible message that make sense to the communicator. It does not really matter whether both parties are physically present in the same place or time. There are two types of sounds: audio sounds (external source that can be detected as physical sound waves) & inner voices with the cognitive brain, attributing distinct identity & drawing live pictures to what is heard in the mind.

If one has truly seen something in display, the sight is able bring him into close contact with whatever he sees. One can be right where an event happened but failed to see it, thus this failure of notice creates detachment. this is the case for a breakdown in communication when one fail to see the important points in given instructions. There are two types of visions: we see the reflected light from a physical object in front of our physical eyes; we see in our brain by imagination & memories without really seeing the object in front of us or simply our physical eyes are not at work for that paticular instant.

Seeing & hearing affects the human soul (reasoning, intellect, imagination, memory, emotions & willpower) & the spirit-man (intuition, heart & conscience). It includes the physical body most the time. We do make use of our physical organs to process the five physical senses. Our physical senses function to frame images & give personified identity to sounds in the brain cognitively. It is our cognitive brain that sees projected images to formulate thoughts in the mind.

Understanding comes by suspending our personal mental positions, attitudes or beliefs, then take an active role, being assertive to study the language of the communicator, so that we see what he sees. This is empathy at work, the ability to stand in other's shoes. Understanding can only happen in the heart, in the spirit-man. In fact, the spirit-man & the human soul is so ever busy communicating with each other with every piece processed thought information from mental images & pictures to judge them, either to accept them into memory data storage for immediate/future use or reject them as irrelevant, senseless, useless material that we cannot use to formulate concepts or ideas.
