This was a wedding.

The six jars were for purification, but were empty.

The wine is the good kind meaning it was not only fully alcohol, (not new wine called juice) but, really aged. Potent!

His first miracle is a wedding gift that the whole celebration experienced, unaware that it was a miracle except for Mary, the Disciples and the servants.
Mary knows He has God's authority.

The purity water (holy water-like) became wine (the blood in Communion).

He filled six, not just one, jar.
