There aren't a whole lot of things in life that are life and death. It's interesting that Peter says how we treat people is. Love brings life. Obviously Peter was thinking about Jesus' life of love. His whole life was focused on loving People. So Peter calls us to love but not in some careless, fickle way. No, love as if your very life depended on it.

So may we be people who breathe in and out love like we do air. May we have eyes like Jesus to see the people desperately needing His love. And may we have a heart that beats with a fervent love in such a way that our very lives depend on it!
