Covenant Renewed
S- Hebrews 8:10
O- This is God's incredible promise that even though his people have turned their backs on him, he will make a new commitment to them that gives them more, not less, intimacy with him. He responded with abounding grace in the face of being left, denied, betrayed by the people he called his bride.
A- The Bible constantly compares God's relationship with his people to a marriage. Here God is saying that even though his wife cheated on him, he is re-upping his commitment to her. We live in this new covenant, one thay allows all believers deep intimacy with the Lord. And yet haven't I responded cavalierly? There are many times when I don't see what a great honor it is to be loved by the King of All Creation. I don't take time to spend with him and don't seek him with my whole heart.
P- God, I want to passionately and desperately seek you. I want to want nothing more than you. Give me that strong desire for connection and time with you.
