Missed Opportunities

O- Saul swore an oath that his son Jonathan didn't hear about. Jonathan had been off slaughtering Philistines under God's guidance. He unknowingly broke the oath, and it was one he thought was ridiculous when he heard about it. And yet later, God would not answer Saul because there was sin in the camp. The sin was Jonathan's fault, even though he didn't understand it when he did it. He was still bound by that oath. The people stepped in and said Jonathan shouldn't die, so Saul spared him. But God still did not give them permission to go chase down more Philistines that night. They missed an opportunity because of accidental sin.
A- How many times have I missed a God opportunity because of a sin, accidental or intentional? I can be blinded to what is before me because I am focusing on what is behind me. Or I can say no to something because my heart is already hardening. I don't want to let my nature or moments of weakness keep me from doing and experiencing all God has for me. I don't want to look back on things and say, "Wow, we had a great chance there. It looked like God was going to do some great things for his Kingdom there. Too bad things didn't work out."
P- God, I want to be sold out to you, without a hint of sin. Help me say yes to you at all times, even my times of weakness.
