Redeemed and cleansed
God,in His love, redeemed us from lawlessness and cleansed us for Himself, that we may do good works. We are bought back from complete lawlessness, total depravity sin. We are free from sin. we are free from depravity. We are free from the consequences of sin. With that freedom comes cleansing and with that cleansing, comes eternal life. But that is not the point of our redemption. God did not save us from sin just to simply save us so we could have eternal life. No, he saved us for good works that we would love others and choose to serve others. Will we sit around in our churches and simply be consumers? Will we be comfortable in our churches in America with are overwhelming wealth? Or is our faith a of faith of action that leads to loving others?
