Man Up / A Passion to Pursue

A man without a passion to pursue becomes passive.

Eve's first sin was rebellion.

Adam's first sin was passivity.

"The warriors of Ephraim, though fully armed, turned their backs on the day of the battle."
(Psalm 78:9)

Until you find a cause that you are willing to die for, you will never truly live.

Jesus was consumed with passion.

"How dare you turn My Father's house into a market." (John 2:16)

Until you find a cause for which you are willing to die, you will never truly live.

1. A Passion to Pursue involves a Person to protect.
"So I stationed armed guards at the most vulnerable places of the wall and assigned people by families with their swords, lances, and bows. After looking things over I stood up and spoke to the nobles, officials, and everyone else: "Don't be afraid of them. Put your minds on the Master, great and awesome, and then fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes." (Nehemiah 4:13-14)

You are the pastor of your household.

2. A Passion to Pursue Means a Kingdom to advance.
"From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it." (Mathew 11:12)
