An ill-informed and hasty decision
I Kings 13 exemplifies the long term consequences of ignoring God's Word. My 13 year old grandson has been using the expression "an ill-informed and hasty decision."
As I follow the news in our day, it does not take a prophet to see the disaster looming over the decisions about gay marriage, abortion, warfare etc. In our churches and homes, are we stuck with short focus and ill-informed and hasty decisions. Are we seeking God's plan and will for our lives? Are we seduced by trying to build relationships with the people around us who are not paying attention to the times. Or are we willing to stand out, be criticized and obey the Word of God and seek to warn our leaders of the disaster ahead. Preach the Gospel without compromise.
