Joshua worships Yeshua
This passage gave me chills. This is the One and Only Jesus Christ! Joshua had his sword ready to fight this unknown character, until He identified Himself as the Captain of the armies of Yahweh. Then Joshua fell on his face before the pre-incarnate Christ. This is how Jesus should be worshipped! All faces will bow before the awesome majestic power that is Jesus Christ. The Savior went there to comfort Joshua with His divine presence. He cares enough about Joshua to leave His throne, in order to comfort him. This is a beautiful picture of Jesus leaving His throne to save sinners by His divine death. Jesus could have crushed Joshua like the sand that he is, instead He lifted his head, and empowered him with the confidence that He is with him.
