Transform Me

I haven't had the privilege of seeing the new Transformers movie, but I'm looking forward to going to see it. I want to see it because I remember the toys when I was a child and I loved the story then. The theme song was "Transformers, more than meets the eye. Transformers, robots in disguise".

Transform Me. I want to be a transformer. I want to be one based on Romans 12:2. I want to be transformed by the power of God so that Jesus is seen in my actions, attitudes, will and character. So I embrace the first part of the theme song of old, but I must reject the second part. I don't want to be a follower of Jesus in disguise.  I want to be consumed by Jesus.  Dallas Willard says, "Most of us take a vampire approach to being a Christian. We want just a little blood for our sins, enough for eternal life, but not a total transfusion of Jesus' life and character. And we certainly don't want to hang around with him all the time". Lord transform me so that all of me is a reflection of Jesus Christ. I want a total transfusion. Less of me and more of you.

Choose today to surrender to be transformed so that there is less of you and more of Him. Say to God, "Transform Me".
