Day 126 - Fountain of life
Proverbs 14:27
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.
To fear the Lord is be reverent of Him, to take His commands seriously. How many people are living in pain, loneliness, debt, isolation and confusion? I wonder how many of those people feared the Lord, how many of them took His Word seriously. I have been in all those situations at one time or another and it was me following my own heart and desires that lead me there. God wants us to have life and have abundantly and to live in joy. We can do that by fearing our loving Creator, by pursuing a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ and by obeying His commands. God wants our hearts. Give me the courage Lord to daily lay down my desires and to fearfully, faithfully and reverently follow your guidance.
