God rested on the seventh day. He rested when His work was completed. This passage shows us that rest is important. God designed His people with a need for rest. Indeed, He commanded us to rest. What PARTICULAR day of the week that we rest is not as important to God as that we do set aside a day for resting and to honor Him. For instance, Pastors 'WORK' on Sunday. Doctors, Nurses, Firemen, Police men all work on Sunday.

It is not a 'sin' to work on Sunday. But it is a sin to NEVER take a specific day to rest and honor our creator at all.
