It is easy to be thankful for things that we look at as blessings. How difficult it is to be thankful for something we see as bad that happens to us. Who are we to decide what a blessing is and is not? We don't always see the big picture, but I am so thankful God does. The things we see as negative, God uses for positive. Often we are tested in trials but it is only to make you stronger. It is to make you the person you are intended to be. By going through trials and hardships, it allows you to relate to others that are worse off than you. Paul could have walked away from God and probably not had a thorn in his side anymore. Paul was able to see the greater good. He was able to realize God has it all under control and there is no need to worry. Paul asked God to take the thorn away 3 times. We all know God could have said yes, but instead God said my grace is sufficient. I was once told GRACE means Gods Riches At Christ Expense. God blesses us with everything you could possibly need. So when you are in that trial and you are asking God for a way out, try to find the positive side and use it to glorify God!
