Ridiculous

God asked Joseph to do something unreasonable and ridiculous really. Who in his right mind would marry someone pregnant with a child not your own and take the heat for it? Even worse this crazy talk story about no other man being involved, but God causing the pregnancy. Yeah right!

Yet God calls us to the nutty thing at times. Of course, we do the nutty all on our own other times and get ahead of God. How am I to know the difference between my insanity and God's? I believe God's craziness will persist through the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. If it is just me, it will fade over time.

God help me to be nutty, ridiculously, beyond all reason, crazily obedient to you today.
