Call on the Lord in order to be saved
In Romans 10:13 it says that if we call on the Lord we shall be saved. As I said in the past, it seems easy, but why are there still so many lost people in this world today. We have to make the choice to call on the Lord. He's there waiting for us to ask for help, but a lot of people believe they can get by without him. I thought that for a long time and even started drifting away from him, but in all reality, when I start to drift it is then when things just don't seem right. I'm not talking about money, clothes, or financial status. Actually those things might get better, but the truth is that is only something the enemy uses to draw you away from our Lord, and it'll only be temporary. The true happiness and blessings that last can only come from the Lord. When Christ stepped onto the boat and his diciples followed they were scared when all of a sudden a "great storm" came and Christ was sleeping. Notice it didn't say, "and the rainbows came out," or "it was beautiful and sunny." NO. it said a storm came. When it did, they questioned Christ if he did not care for them, and how he could sleep in a time like that. That's what we do when we go through some of our own storms, and in results we distance ourselves from him. When Christ gets up he asks them, "Why are you afraid? Do you have any faith in me?" With one word he calmed the storms. This goes to show when we think it's too tough for us, go and wake up Christ. He's ready to calm the storm for us, but we have to call on his name in order to be saved.
