In Christ: Your Basis for Victory
Paul uses the phrase "in Christ" an amazing ten times in this first chapter of Ephesians (v 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 15, 20), establishing this powerful concept as the foundation of his letter.
Although Ephesians unfolds an amazing view into God's master plan––spanning profound revelations on Christ's triumph over demonic forces, the nature of the Church, and the authority of the believer––all these things rest squarely upon this most fundamental concept of being a Christian: you are now "in Christ," and therefore everything that is his is now also yours! Every aspect of the true Christian life remains fixed upon this one point: you are in him, and he is in you (John 15).
