God is Bigger
S- 2 Chronicles 2:6 NIV
"But who is able to build a temple for him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain him? Who then am I to build a temple for him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before him?" O- Solomon, in his wisdom, knew that God was too big to be boxed in by a building. Even though the Temple was to be called the place of the Lord's dwelling, it was not to contain or control him, but to offer him worship. It was a place for sacrifice more than a place of rest or dwelling. A- God is too big to be trapped by the things we do or the way we see things. God will work in his way, in his time. P- Lord, please keep me from putting you in the box of my own understanding. Let me be like Abraham who was willing to sacrifice the son you promised him. Even though I don't understand things, let me obey fully, knowing that you will work them out.
