Passing the Baton
God was preparing Moses to pass the baton to Joshua, to lead the next generation. This verse reminds me again of the importance of passing along to next generation leaders what God has taught me.
We may often think that we only have a responsibility to teach and equip our current leaders, yet when we read the scripture we see clearly that our responsibility extends to future generations. (i.e. Paul to Timothy)
