The God of the dark cloud
God lives in a "dark cloud." Beware the man who claims to have gotten completely to know Him. He is vast, unmeasurable, infinite, threatening, puzzling, terrifying, stupendous, humbling, incomprehensible, and far past our puny intellects. Such is the claim of the bible. This inscrutableness is made friendly by the gospel, but not understandable. God remains who He is, and we remain small and limited.
