I had a situation yesterday that I am grateful does not happen very often. I make a small technical mistake that impacted a customer in a big way. His reaction was one of complete grace. He could have flown of the handle, he could have demanded compensation. Instead he was measured and calm, and refused my offer of refunding the charges he was due to pay. We simply fixed the issue, and moved on. As I was reflecting upon his reaction today, I was drawn to Matthew 18:23-35, and the parable of the unforgiving servant. I have received grace not just from this customer but also my God, I must now exercise grace. Trust me there are many opportunities for me to exercise grace in my life and I am not always the fastest to do so. I suspect as my next opportunity occurs I shall be a bit keener to exercise grace.
