Is this the key to understanding how Abraham could be obedient to God when he was tested on the mountain? Was it Abrahams steadfast faith in the promise from God that "your descendants shall come from Isaac."?

Despite the conflicting messaging from God, did he rely on God to ensure that the promise would come through? This passage says so... "Abraham figured that if God wanted to, he could raise the dead"...
