privilede not obligation
Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. Romans 1:5 NLT
When our life is given to Christ one of the things that he gives us (his children) to do is to tell those who don’t know about Him what God has done for them. It seems as though God views this as a privilege and not an obligation. He even gives us a platform of authority through which to do it. When this happens it brings glory to his name.
Not only did God love me enough to send his son to save me and change my life but He also holds me accountable to tell others about his salvation and what he did for them. I can’t forget that this should be a privilege just as my salvation was and not an obligation. He has even given me authority to do so.
God thank for you reminding me that being saved is an honor and a privilege. Help me to be a witness today for you and tell someone far from you that what you did for them. Thank you for the examples in my life such as my dad who lives this verse out daily. Help me to be as bold and as grateful for what you have done for me.
