So I find Abraham a strange guy.

On one hand, he lies about Sarah without any issues. Well technically Sarah was his sister in a strange way! But that doesn't justify the misrepresentation in any way. God closed up the womb of a community of women cos of that one lie. cRazy!

On the other hand he has the faith to believe that his wife who is past menopause can reproduce! that's a lot of faith for anyone.. ESP when you don't hv much of s track record for God. See we hv stories of God working miracles both in the Word and history. he had nothing!

I also don't get the whole not taking the grave for free thing.. Maybe it was cultural and he didn't want to owe that guy anything. Whatever he deal was, he was rich and he could have bought and paid for that land easily, so he did.

Abe was a really rich guy with a ton of faith. You don't find t hat very often in our world. Maybe thats why I don't really 'get' him.
