Readily Sacraficing...
In Luke 10:29-37 we read the familiar story of "the good Samaritan". But, today I got to thinking as I read, about the Sacrafice that the Samaritan made in this story. We see that the Samaritan- 1. Got Over Stigmas(he crossed social lines of "bad-blood". Caring more about the Individual!). 2. Got Out of his "Comfort-zone"(he gave up his seat on the animal so that the injured man could ride in comfort). And, 3. -GAVE of his own resources in a way that would be uncomfortable(he payed a large amount to ensure that the injured man would be well cared for).
LORD, help me to Readily Sacrafice my own- Stigmas, Comforts, and Resources- always caring about the Individual!!
