God doesn't reward following Him with money or wealth, and He doesn't do the opposite, either. An underlying misunderstanding that Satan has attempted to instill in human minds since creation is that when we do something bad, we'll know it because God will bring some calamity on us. Another part of this is that God rewards "good behavior" by protecting us from harm and giving us earthly riches. Here is one of the first examples of of this.

It doesn't stop there - people often blame God when something goes wrong, as if He caused it because they did something wrong. One prime example is "he was such a good person, why did he have to die?" Bad things happen to good people, just like in Job's case. Job was a blameless and upright man, but a lot of bad things happened to him.

When we get to heaven, we will have no more pain or suffering - and we will be with Jesus forever!
