what's your greatest treasure, could you sacrifice it?
Wow! "Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son." (Genesis 22:12 NIV) blows me away! I want faith like Abraham!!! In Verse 8 Abraham answers Issac's question about where the lamb for the offering is with, 'God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering'. AND HE DID!! (verse 13) Abraham feared the Lord and trusted him to be faithful to his promise. He didn't withhold anything from God, including his only son!!! What's your greatest treasure? If God asked for it could you give it to him?
