Here is the single foundation for all who are believers, Jesus.
It is crazy how the Church has split and fractured over so many things outside of Jesus. It seems that this might be changing. There seems to be a stronger spirit of unity in the Church, but there is still a ways to go to change well-meaning words to action.
Paul's clear statement of all believers foundation almost makes it too simple, and it brings up some questions. If Jesus is what is foundational for all believers of every kind, what do all believers know of Jesus? How much does the Church teach and explain of the life and person of Jesus? Do we understand that Jesus was fully God and fully man at the same time? Do we understand why it is important? Do we know how he fulfilled prophecy? Do we understand how Jesus is woven throughout God's Word? Do we know Jesus' message? Do we understand His sacrifice and the power of it? Is Jesus our foundational message? Do we use Jesus as our uniting focus and passion for the universal Church?
Paul continually wrote and preached Jesus and the good news. Jesus is the foundation. The better we know every detail of the foundation the stronger we build and the closer we all become.
Like Paul said, anyone can build on that foundation with whatever materials they want. God will be the judge of that work. We don't have to worry about others buildings. We just need to have the same foundation!
