Feeling Mistreated?
2 Chr 18:23-34Micaiah just said what the Spirit of the Lord told him to say, and got himself punched for it. The sucker puncher was a fellow "prophet", someone who should have been a good friend and brother. Micaiah's response was to simply point his attacker back to God. Heh heh. You'll see in "that day". Micaiah gives a great example of how to turn the other cheek. He doesn't fight back, doesn't defend himself physically or intellectually, he just continues to speak the Word of Truth. Micaiah has confidence in God that it will all work out the way God wants it to, regardless of how he's treated or what others think. Unfortunately, as Christians, we can expect some of our strongest attacks to come from "fellow believers". The Apostle Paul experienced this (2 Cor 11.26). Don't get yourself all worked up over it, God will take care of it in the end! Look to Jesus...Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously...
