Bible memorization

We Can remember almost anything from ice cream flavors to United States using:
- demonstration
- write it
- put it in a song/rap
- review/study
So why does it seem hard to remember a few verses in the bible. The bible says "Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You." In order to complete this scripture. We actually need the word in our hearts. Timothy said "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" Although this is an age of technology and you may have many bibles, we need to safeguard this treasure for times when you need advice from god or you need to witness to somebody. Memorization is just another way to spread God's word.
